Group Fitness
Our leaders understand that group fitness should be a fun, challenging, and competition free. If you are new to working out, a veteran exerciser, or just getting back into shape, group fitness is an excellent choice!
Schedule
Look at our fitness schedule. The schedule changes every semester and offers something for everyone. All classes are first-come, first-serve. Limitations are based on room size and/or equipment availability. Cycling classes are limited to 30 participants per session. Indo-Row® classes are limited to 36 participants per session, while TRX® classes are limited to 16. Class maximums can be found on the group fitness schedule.
The first week of the semester is FREE for any Rec Sports member wishing to participating in group fitness.
Getting Started
All group fitness classes on the regular group fitness schedule are FREE for all Ohio State University student members.
Student members are defined as those currently enrolled on the Columbus campus who are assessed the Recreational Sports fee and any eligible student who purchases a student membership (including off-semester and under enrolled students). Students must activate their BuckID at the RPAC Welcome Center before participating in group fitness.
All other members (faculty, staff, alumni, affiliates, etc.) receive 30 free group fitness class per semester with their membership.
When You Get to Class
Have your BuckID before you enter class. You will not be allowed to enter without it.
In the event of a scanner or computer malfunction, participants will be searched for by last name to verify IDs and/or a waiver must be signed.
