Want to work at the pool?  Be a Lifeguard!

Have fun at a serious job. Many hours are available to create a flexible schedule.

The Department of Recreational Sports is the management entity for five swimming pools on the Ohio State campus at the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC), including the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. This translates to over 1,900 staffing hours per week that these pools require the supervision of lifeguards and that's why we need you.

We schedule lifeguards for quarter-long shifts, just like your classes. For example, if you were scheduled to work on Mondays from Noon-4 p.m., you would work every Monday at that time for the entire quarter. Hours over Finals and Break Weeks are scheduled separately according to RPAC hours of operation.
