Intramural Sports Registration Information
Intramural sports registration for spring quarter begins Monday, March 26. There will be many different sports and tournaments to choose from each quarter. Check out our Intramural Sports Registration page for dates and times of registration for each quarter.
Intramural Job Openings
Intramural sports at Ohio State offers a variety of ways to get involved, ranging from one-day events to quarter-long individual and team sports. Therefore, we are in need of new officials and scorekeepers/equipment managers every quarter. No experience is needed, just a good attitude and a willingness to do your best. Below is a breakdown of which sports we are hiring for each quarter and what you need to do to get hired. Spring Quarter
- Softball umpires: Monday, March 26 OR Tuesday, March 27
- Softball equipment managers: Monday, March 26 OR Tuesday, March 27
- Outdoor soccer officials: Monday, March 26 OR Tuesday, March 27
- Sand volleyball officials: Monday, March 26 OR Tuesday, March 27
- Ice hockey officials: Tuesday, March 27
Summer Quarter
- If you wish to continue working for intramural sports during the summer, we have limited spots for softball, soccer, and sand volleyball officials. New employees will not be hired for summer, so please officiate these sports during spring quarter if you would like to work over the summer.
The date, time, and location of each sports rules meeting are above. All you need to do is attend that meeting where we will provide you with further information. There are two meeting times for the rules meeting; you are only required to attend one. We will then hold 2-3 evenings of training/practice games and you will be set to officiate Ohio State intramural sports.
It is not a guarantee that everyone will be hired due to the needs of the program and the amount of people who attend, but as long as you work hard and attend all training sessions, you have a great shot!
New Scheduling System for Intramural Participants
Intramural Sports is offering a new system for participants to view their team schedules and standings. By viewing our Schedules and Brackets page, captains and participants can click on the sport they wish to view. From there, they can decide whether to view their standings, schedules, or brackets in a much simpler, user friendly format. Captains will be given a quick tutorial about the new system at each sport's captain's meeting.
