Open Recreation
Daily opportunities for open recreation are listed in the open recreation schedule posted to the right. This schedule provides the location and time for various activities including badminton, basketball, tennis, open climbing, and more.
The show schedule button at the extreme bottom left of all Rec Sports web page will open the schedule for the current day in all recreational sports facilities. The times, locations, and types of open recreation available at each facility are posted in this area. This schedule is updated for the new day at midnight each day.
RPAC
The RPAC offers a wide variety of open recreation opportunities, including drop-in badminton, squash, racquetball, basketball, and volleyball. Make reservations for one of the 10 racquetball courts or five squash courts, beginning at 5 p.m. one day prior, by calling the Sport Shop at (614) 292-8590.
ARC
The ARC features a wide variety of open recreation opportunities such as drop-in basketball, volleyball, and drop-in soccer on the turf field.
Aquatics
The RPAC Aquatic Center was built with the leisure swimmer in mind. Lap swimming is available for members any time the facility is open. Lap swimming in the competitive pool is available on a limited basis. View the latest open recreation hours in the aquatic center schedule.
Outdoor Running Routes
There are six different jogging trails around campus ranging from just under 1 mile to 4.6 miles. View maps of these trails.
Outdoor Cycling Trails
The Columbus Department of Parks and Recreation offers paved outdoor cycling trails connecting Worthington, Clintonville, The Ohio State University, Harrison West, and Downtown Columbus. This 10-foot-wide pathway includes two bridges crossing the Olentangy River. The 1.2 mile path around Antrim Lake is popular with walkers and joggers.
