Group Fitness

Our leaders understand that group fitness should be a fun, challenging and competition free. If you are new to working out, a veteran exerciser or just getting back into shape, group fitness is an excellent choice! 


Look at our fitness schedule. The schedule changes every semester and offers something for everyone. All classes are first-come, first-served. Limitations are based on room size and/or equipment availability. Cycling classes are limited to 40 participants per session. Indo-Row® classes are limited to 36 participants per session, while TRX® classes are limited to 18.  

NEW Class for 2015! Nike Training Club™

Nike Training Club™ is a full-body conditioning class that involves high-impact moves, maximum intensity and challenging athletic training drills, while using minimal equipment. Whether you’re looking to get lean, toned or build your strength, Nike Training Club™ takes every workout to the next level. If you are an athlete* and looking for a new way to train, this class is for you (*if you have a body, you are an athlete).  Wednesdays 5:45-6:45 p.m.

NEW Class for 2015! Hip Hop Circuit Cycle

Got 99 problems but cycling ain’t one? Hip Hop Circuit Cycle is for you!  A combination of work done on and off the bike, this full-body workout is the perfect balance of cardio, power and strength training, all to the beat of your favorite Hip Hop songs.

NEW Class for 2015! HIIT

High Intensity Interval Training will push your body to the limits while keeping your heart racing. This class provides a mix of strength and cardiovascular exercises, which combine to create a killer workout for all levels of fitness fanatics.

NEW Class for 2015! Row&Flow

The perfect blend of both rowing and yoga in one class! Join us for this unique 50-minute workout combining the full-body strengthening and cardiovascular benefits of rowing with the flexibility benefits of yoga. Whether you are new to both formats or are a seasoned rower and yogi, this class is perfect for all fitness levels.

New Class for 2015! Ropes

Switch up your workout and come play with our battle ropes in this 60-minute class. You’ll work every muscle, especially your core, while reaping cardiovascular benefits, improving coordination, and increasing metabolic endurance. This highly effective workout is low impact, so it’s safe for any fitness level.

NEW Class of 2015! Yogalates

This Pilates-yoga fusion class will help you activate, isolate and stabilize deep core muscles while improving your total body alignment, flexibility and strength. Perfect for all fitness levels.

Getting Started 

All group fitness classes on the regular group fitness schedule are FREE for all Rec Sports members, including students paying the dedicated fee. You must activate your BuckID before attending your first fitness class. 

When You Get to Class

Have your BuckID before you enter class. You will not be allowed to enter without it. 

In the event of a scanner or computer malfunction, participants will be searched for by last name to verify IDs and/or a waiver must be signed.
