Fitness Schedule & Classes

Group fitness classes are held at the RPAC and other Rec Sports locations. All Rec Sports members, including students paying the dedicated fee, can attend unlimited group fitness for free by activating your BuckID online

Description: This class moves through a variety of yoga poses in a balanced and systematic way. A key component of this class is Vinyasa work: the union of the breath and movement. Benefits of this type of training include heightened body awareness and mind focus, tension release, increased range of motion at the joints and an overall sensation of more balance in life. The session ends with restorative work, which energizes the body through passive stretch techniques. Sticky mats are provided, but feel free to bring your own.

Description: Barre None is a combination of ballet, Pilates and yoga-inspired exercises designed to strengthen, sculpt and lengthen your muscles. While this class targets your glutes, legs and core, it also will improve your overall balance, flexibility and strength.

Location: Lower level of the RPAC. Go down the main staircase and walk straight. Enter the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion and turn right into the recreation side. The class pool is furthest to the left once you enter.

Description: Who's ready for a pool party!? In this class, you'll take what you love from ZUMBA® and incorporate it with traditional water fitness disciplines. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels and dance experience is not required - just a willingness to have fun in the water.

Description: Revitalize your body and mind with Relaxation Yoga. Perfect for all fitness levels, this class focuses on breathing and extended holds of postures to aid in restoration, de-stressing and relaxation.

Description: This class moves through a variety of yoga poses in a balanced and systematic way. A key component of this class is Vinyasa work: the union of the breath and movement. Benefits of this type of training include heightened body awareness and mind focus, tension release, increased range of motion at the joints and an overall sensation of more balance in life. The session ends with restorative work, which energizes the body through passive stretch techniques. Sticky mats are provided, but feel free to bring your own.
