The NRI provides services and guidance aimed at building research capacity and skills within areas concerned with college recreational sports and wellness, such as recreational sports departments, student wellness centers, student activities, and other co-curricular learning initiatives.
Learning Outcomes Measurement
Measuring learning outcomes allows you to demonstrate the benefits and impact of your programs and services to administrators. We have developed standardized learning outcomes instruments that will allow you to gain information about the growth of participants through an extremely efficient and simple process.
Assessment Services - Consulting Services
Assessment evidence allows you to justify your decisions and existence on campus. We can help you collect assessment data and guide you through the process of instrument development, electronic or paper-pencil administration, and data analysis. Then you can use the results to increase program, facility, and customer service quality as well as to predict university recreation trends, needs, and justify budgets.

We can coordinate, implement, and provide assistance with the steps involved in the research process, including instrument development and formatting, data collection and analysis, and instrument administration and application. We will work with you to create studies that address your individual needs.

Facility Benchmarking Services
If you're planning a new facility or activity space and need benchmarking data, we can provide a customized analysis using data from more than 2.5 million students from 139 college and universities. Customized analysis also allows you to determine the universities, as well as enrollment sizes, NIRSA regions, and types of institutions (public vs. private) that you would like to compare.
