Spring Semester Open Recreation Sports

Some open recreation sports will return spring semester 2021. Please see the list of sports below along with details and restart dates. All participants must show a green check on their health passport and have signed the facility access waiver. Please visit recregister.osu.edu if you still need to sign the waiver. Masks are required while participating in any open rec sports and at all times while in the recreation facilities.

 

Badminton and Pickleball open rec is available at the RPAC.

  • Mask required
  • Singles or Doubles play only
  • Must bring own equipment
  • Drop-in, no reservation available

 

Racquetball open rec is available at the RPAC.

  • Mask Required
  • Hitting, maximum of 2 people per court
  • Participants must bring own equipment, balls are available for sale at the Sport Shop
  • Drop-in, no reservation available

 

Basketball is available by reservation at the RPAC. Hours of play are Monday – Friday 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

  • Mask required
  • Two per half court, no contact, shooting only
  • Must bring own equipment
  • One-hour reservation required
  • New this semester if two people are playing both make must a reservation in advance.

 

Table Tennis open rec is available at the ARC.

  • Mask Required
  • Singles only
  • Must bring own equipment, balls are not available for sale at the ARC
  • Drop-in, no reservations available

 

Squash open rec is available at the RPAC.

  • Mask Required
  • Hitting, maximum of 2 people per court
  • Participants must bring own equipment, balls are available for sale at the Sport Shop
  • Drop-in, no reservation available

 

Spikeball open rec is available at the RPAC and ARC.

  • Mask required
  • 2 people per game (no doubles play)
  • Must bring own equipment
  • Only permitted on wood courts when not occupied by reservation
  • Drop-in, no reservation available

 

Volleyball open rec is available at the RPAC.

  • Mask required
  • Maximum of 4 people per side of the court
  • Must bring own equipment
  • Drop-in, no reservation available
