Sunrise Yoga

7 - 8 a.m.         RPAC B134   

Start your morning off right with Sunrise Yoga. This class will wake-up your body and mind as you move through a variety of yoga poses while focusing on the union of the breath and movement.


RPAC: Reading Day Rise and Shine

7:30 – 9 a.m.           RPAC Lower Main Space

Breakfast is on us! Enjoy a light breakfast at the RPAC to start your day. Food available while supplies last!


Circuit Cycle:  Evolution of Hip Hop

8 - 9 a.m.         RPAC B30   

Hip Hop sure has changed over the years! Based on the Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake song line-up from the “History of Hip Hop 6” skit, come check out this great progression of Hip Hop through the years. This class is a 60 minute, Circuit Cycle formatted class. This is sure to start off your Reading Day right!

Join OUAB and start your day on the right note by enjoying a hot breakfast, coffee and tea. Food available while supplies last!


Tag-Team TRX

9 - 10 a.m.       RPAC- Track Level

Looking to challenge yourself and try something new? Come to this special edition Tag-Team TRX! You and your workout partner will alternate between strength circuits on the TRX® Suspension Trainer®, an integrated fitness training system that will test your strength and balance, and cardio drills off the TRX. We will pair you with another participant or feel free to bring a friend!


Tips and Tactics

Student Life Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) will be on hand to provide tips and strategies for addressing test anxiety. Look for CCS staff in the Union and roaming about in study areas. Black Light Ride

10 - 11 a.m.       RPAC B30                

Black light Rhythm Ride is back! Come join us for this heart pumping, quick paced and all-around exciting 60 minute indoor cycle class. Only two requirements: wear some neon and have fun!


Yoga for Mental Health

10 – 11:30 a.m.     Younkin Room 150

Yoga for Mental Health is designed specifically to enhance the mind body connection so students can learn skills to mitigate stress, increase concentration and improve mental and emotional well-being.  Please clear participation with your doctor if you have any physical health concerns.  People with disabilities will be accommodated. Please bring your own yoga mat.


Break with Buckeye Belle

Take a study break and stop by the Student Life Student Wellness Center to get a snack and hangout with therapy dog Buckeye Belle!

Inversion Immersion

11 a.m. - Noon         RPAC B134   


Build your inversions from the ground up.  In this class, you will learn different techniques and skills to prepare your body to safely get in and out of various inverted yoga postures.  Inversions ranging from downward dog to headstand will be covered and modifications will always be given to make each pose more accessible for every student.  Bring your adventurous side and come flip your world upside down!

Movie Trivia Circuit Cycle

Noon - 1 p.m.          RPAC B30

Do you think you know your favorite movie soundtracks? Keep both your brain and your body sharp during this awesome 1 hour workout. The instructor will take you through a great circuit cycle class with a little added incentive. Study up!..But not as much as you would for your finals. The person to guess the most movies correct, will walk away a winner!


Ropes! Team Challenge

1 – 2 p.m.     RPAC South Gym

Who doesn’t love working with a team?! You and your team will conquer a variety of strength and cardio circuits, emphasizing power and explosiveness to activate and integrate all the major muscle groups for a total body workout. You are stronger than you think you are, so get ready to make some serious waves!  



1 – 2 p.m.     RPAC B134

Come take a break from studying in a coffee shop and relax with some caffeinated jazzy power pilates mixed in with some smooth decaffeinated yoga flow. As if you just had a double shot espresso, this hour workout is sure to leave you energized and ready to hit the books!


Pause for Paws

1 - 4 p.m.         Ohio Union, Creative Arts Room

Put a smile on your face by visiting with a friendly therapy dog!


Top 10 Countdown Cycle

2 - 3 p.m.         RPAC B30    

What was the #1 song on December 10, 2005? Better yet, what was the #1 song on December 10, 2006? Check out this class and celebrate the RPAC 10 Year Anniversary while reliving the #1 songs over the past 10 years!


Relax with Aveda

3 - 5 p.m.         RPAC Lower Main Space

There’s no better way to relax than by having a massage! Stop by for head and hand massages from the Aveda Institute. 


Beating Anxiety

4 - 5 p.m.         Younkin 150

Learn and discuss the ways in which we can reduce our anxiety in terms of how to take care of our bodies, emotions and thinking habits. When you leave this seminar you should have a strong foundation on how to manage your own anxiety and what steps you need to take in order to feel better.



5:30 – 6:30 p.m.      RPAC Track Level

Adding tabatta to any workout is sure to challenge you at that next level. Tabatta is a great high and low intensity training technique that includes 20 seconds of work with 10 second breaks. Add tabatta to a typical TRX workout and you’ll be invigorated and ready to take on your exams! Space is limited and first come, first serve. Plan to come early so you do not miss out!


#TBT Cycle

5:30 – 6:30 p.m.        RPAC B30

This is one #TBT you will sure want to post about! Come jam out during this 60 minute indoor cycle class to all your favorite throwback tunes.


Candlelight Relaxation Yoga    

6-7 p.m.        RPAC- B134

Calm you body and mind with slow stretches, dim lighting and relaxing music. The class will be lit by the soft flicker of a flame. This is a great way to prepare for a successful finals week.


Evening Break with the Student Life Multicultural Center

6-8 p.m.          Ohio Union, Ohio Staters’ Traditions Room    

Stop by to reenergize your mind, body and spirit with the Student Life Multicultural Center with a beautiful Odissi performance, tasty samosas and amazing henna designs!



6:30 - 7:30 p.m.      RPAC- South Gym 

Shake and shimmy that stress away with Zumba! This class fuses traditional Latin rhythms with hip hop and features simple, fun routines that help tone your body and get your heart rate up. Dance experience is not required; our instructors will work with participants to ensure the best results. You will have so much fun that you’ll forget you’re working out!


Flicks for Free

6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.    Ohio Union, U.S. Bank Conference Theater     

OUAB will be showing “Trainwreck” for this year’s Reading Day. There will be a 6 p.m. showing and an 8:30 p.m. showing, both at the Ohio Union in the U.S. Bank Conference Theater. As the name of the event insinuates, attending the movie is FREE and OUAB also provides FREE popcorn and drinks. Please note that BuckID admits 2- so feel free to bring a friend!


Pre-Finals Pump Up (Circuit Cycle)

7-8 p.m.        RPAC- B30  

Every great team introduction, baseball walk up or locker room pump-up song you could think of, all in one class! This 60 minute, Circuit Cycle class will take you through a variety of terrains and full body exercises. Throw on your favorite jersey and come sweat it out before you study it out for Reading Day!


Moonlight Yoga    

8-9 p.m.        RPAC- B134

Relax your body and mind after a long day with Moonlight Yoga. This gentle yoga class will help you release any tension or stress as you move through the moon salutation and other restorative yoga poses. Perfect for any fitness level.
