About Intramural Ice Hockey:
  • Five (5) game regular season for all teams plus a postseason play for teams that qualify
  • All games are played at the Ohio State Ice Rink
  • Helmets, gloves, jerseys and shin guards are mandatory andare provided by the Department of Recreational Sports
  • Participants may choose to provide their own equipment that is required to compete
  • Participants must provide their own hockey stickto compete
  • The competitive sports staff reserves the right to move players from any level of competition to another based on their ability
Season begins:

January 20

Online Registration:
  • Begins on January 6 at 9 a.m. via IMLeagues.com
  • Ends on January 15 at 11:59 p.m.
  • All participants are required to complete and submit an online participants quiz via IMLeagues prior to completing the individual registration process
  • Player responsibilities and sport rules are covered in the quiz

Roster:
  • Individual registration only
  • There are no team captains in intramural ice hockey
  • Teams are created by staff within the Department of Recreational Sports
  • All members of a roster are required to pass a participants quiz via IMLeagues prior to participating
  • IMPORTANT: Each participant must join a roster prior to competing in their first game of the regular season
  • All rosters are locked following the final regular season gameand teams are unable to add players
Fee:

$60 per person

Leagues offered and definitions:

Advanced
Has previous experience in competitive leagues (i.e. high school or club/travel leagues); skating is not limited in any way.


Intermediate
Some previous experience, is somewhat of a fluid skater and possesses the ability to stop.


Beginner
Limited or no previous hockey experience, not a strong skater and stopping is difficult.
