Description: Ever wondered what it was like to climb on a frozen surface, or to sink your ice axe into giant icicles? This trip will teach you beginner techniques on how to ice climb. Material will include knot tying, use of crampons and ice axes and risk management. We will be staying in a small cabin by the Youghiogheny River each night, taking in the campfire and majestic winter scenery of rolling hills.

Description:  Join us for a weekend of winter fun as we journey to Seven Springs Ski Resort in Pennsylvannia. Learn the basics of skiing or snowboarding, or if you already know the basics use this trip to help refine your skills! Description: Camp on white sand beaches, paddle with dolphins and soak up the culture and sunshine of Florida's most primitive coast. We will paddle from island to island while learning about marine estuaries and the mangroves that influence the complex ecosystem known as the Everglades. Description: This trip provides a transformational blend of service and outdoor adventure in the Grand Canyon of Arizona. Students will de dedicating significant service time to the Palatki Heritage Site in the Coconino National Forest. After our work, interpretive guides wil share the story of Native Americans who used these cliff dwellings hundreds of years aggo and the importance of keeping these heritage sites for future generations. Over 2.5 days, the group will be backpacking 15-20 miles, camping below the rim for two nights. Adventure activities include backpacking, cave exploration, rafting and hiking between activities. Housing during the trip includes 1-2 nights in a hostel and camping in the background remote settings in a tent. Tents, sleeping bags, mats, backpacks and rafting equipment are provided. 

The trip is all inclusive and includes food, transportation, lodging, permits and the adventures listed above. Participants should expect to take their own spending money for any additional personal expenditures and $40 for meals in the airports.

Description:  This course will help you prepare for the unexpected with a fun, hands – on introduction to wilderness medical care. Students who may benefit from a WFA include those who: take short trips, work at wilderness camps, enjoy weekend outdoor activties and/or participate in local outdoor recreation. Emphasis will be placed on providing effective first aid treatments for injuries and illnesses common in the outdoors and making appropriate evacuation decisions.

Successfully completing the course provides certification from SOLO, the world's oldest continually operating wilderness medicine school.

Description: Every once in a while, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes along!  Join Recreational Sports’ Outdoor Adventure Center this May on an unforgettable S.T.E.P. Signature Experience in Australia and New Zealand!  This 20-day extended adventure/service trip includes international flights to Cairns, Australia and Queenstown, New Zealand.  The group will embrace the rich and vibrant culture of the southern continent through a variety of adventures.  From sea-kayaking and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, to hiking the Blue Mountains and exploring slot canyons, this trip to Oz has all the elements for the true outdoor adventurer.  This expedition will follow an experiential leadership and service curriculum, where you will be expected to lead and provide service to aboriginal families in the Australian Outback.  Accommodations will include a mix of hostels, lodges and home stays.  The total cost of this epic expedition includes meals, transportation, permits, equipment and instruction.
