Pictured Rocks Adventure

Want to develop your skills as an outdoor leader?  This trip to Pictured Rocks, MI will focus on honing outdoor leadership skills while developing your competency as a sea kayaker and backpacker.  This course is a key progression in becoming at trip leader at the OAC.  Pictured Rocks contains impressive beaches, waterfalls and sandstone cliffs.  You’ll experience it all, while paddling through the most prinstine of the Great Lakes. Learn the basics of whitewater kayaking on some of Virginia's most scenic rivers. Your skills will progress toward the final challenge of thr trip, the rapid Balcony Falls. As an added bonus, the evenings will consist of campfires in the Appalachian Mountains.

Backpack the Grand Canyon

Backpack the Grand Canyon

Join the OAC for an extended backpacking expedition through the Grand Canyon, May 11-18.  With other students, you will take on the physical challenge and natural beauty only found in the Grand Canyon. All transportation (including flight), meals while in the field and gear will be supplied.  Register here.
