Memberships
If you are taking more than four credit hours in-person on the Columbus campus, your membership is included in your student fees. Autumn semester memberships begin on August 1, and you have access to our indoor and outdoor facilities, as well as our programs and services.
Semester membership dates:
- Autumn semester: August 1 – December 31
- Spring semester: January 1 – May 31
- Summer semester: June 1 – August 31
Facilities
We have six indoor facilities you can visit. Each has a selection of cardio and weight equipment, as well as courts and other features in addition to our gaming arena for Esports. Check out the links below for hours and descriptions.

Our three outdoor facilities, Coffey Road Park, Fred Beekman Park and Lincoln Tower Park, feature grass fields, softball diamonds, sand volleyball courts and turf fields.
Programs
We have many programs for you to get involved with such as group fitness, intramural sports and sport clubs.
Group fitness: We have more than 60 classes each week for you to try like cycle, barre, yoga and Zumba. All levels and all bodies are invited, and classes are included in your membership.
Intramural sports: Come play with us! You can drop-in to play, play for a semester season, or join us to learn to play pickleball or flag football in one of our new clinics this year. Purchase your Play Pass to take advantage of all of our intramural offerings.
Sport clubs: We have more than 50 clubs for you to join. If you're interested in a sport club, you'll want to reach out to the club directly to learn about their tryout and practice schedules.
Services
Rec Sports offers personal training, including 1:1 personal training, exercise program design and InBody assessments. The Buckeye Bike Hub serves the Ohio State biking community with bike maintenance and a retail shop with bike locks, bike parts and supplies.
The RPAC offers full-service locker rooms and you can rent a locker for a semester or for the year. Day lockers are available for free at the RPAC, Adventure Recreation Center, Jesse Owens North and Jesse Owens South.
On-Campus Employment
If you're looking for an on-campus job, Rec Sports has a spot for you. We hire students as lifeguards, intramural officials, facility operations, member services and many other roles.
