Minors

Recreational Sports adheres to The Ohio State University's minors policy.  Any non-Ohio State student under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their legal parent or guardian at all times within Recreational Sports facilities when not enrolled in a recreational sports program for youth such as Camp Recky.

A minor is defined as any individual(s) under the age of 18 or any individual(s) under 21 years old incapable of self-care because of a mental or physical disability who is a participant in a youth activity or program. This does not include persons under the age of 18 while engaged as enrolled students for academic credit at Ohio State.

You must be at least 14 years old to utilize the following within Recreational Sports Facilities:

  • Free weights
  • Selectorized equipment
  • Cardio equipment
  • Any additional fitness equipment
  • Group fitness classes
  • Sauna & spa

Any questions regarding the minors policy can be directed to recsports@osu.edu.
