Try something new and join us for these special event classes, workshops and incentive programs.      

Party on the Plaza

Wednesday, August 28, 8:00 – 9:30 p.m.

What better way to kick-off your school year than with a giant, outdoor dance party?! Get ready to Party on the Plaza with Rec Sports at this late-night mashup of all your favorite dance fitness classes. We’ll have a DJ, snacks and of course some FREE Rec Sports swag! Register in advance to secure your spot or drop-in at any point for the biggest dance fitness party of the semester!

Registration for Party on the Plaza is FREE, and will open on August 14, at 8:00 p.m.

Progressive Overload Training

Take your workout program to the next level with this 4-week course, showing you how to effectively progress your workouts. Progressive Overload Training is a training method that focuses on systematically increasing weight, reps, and intensity of exercises overtime. This approach will allow participants to reach new fitness goals in a healthy fashion. Progress Overload Training will focus primarily on squat, bench, deadlift, and other accessory work will be incorporated. The course will be completed in a small group setting and led by our Certified Personal Trainers. Our trainers will teach you proper lifting techniques and help you progress your goals properly. Location for this program is the RPAC Fitness Suite. All fitness levels are welcome!

  • Session 1: September 9 – October 4
  • Session 2: October 14 – November 8

Exact days and times of small groups will be announced in August.

Registration for Progressive Overload Training is $20 per person, and will open on August 12, at Noon.

Restore and Recover Yoga (NRC Green Space) 

Tuesday, September 17, 7:15 – 8:15 p.m.

In collaboration with the Collegiate Recovery Program, join us OUTDOORS for an empowering yoga flow! In this class, we will flow through a series of mindful movements. together that will leave you feeling restored, both mentally and physically. Show your support as an ally and help us celebrate the accomplishments of those in and seeking recovery. Event will take place outside the NRC in front of the Tom W. Davis Clock Tower. Check-in starts at 6:45 p.m. and yoga flow will begin at 7:15 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, class will take place inside the NRC in room 210/220.

Registration for Restore and Recover Yoga is FREE, and will open on September 3, at 7:15 p.m.

Road to Game Day (RPAC Northwest Plaza)

Friday, October 4, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Gear up for the ultimate Road to Gameday outdoor cycle event! As the Buckeye Football season heats up, join us on Friday, October 4th! Rec Sports Group Fitness is calling upon all Buckeyes to unite and collectively conquer the challenge of riding 1,500 miles in just one day. We need your pedal power to make it happen! Our outdoor cycle event will feature three waves led by Rec Sports' cycle instructors, ensuring an exhilarating and engaging experience.

Registration for Road to Game Day is FREE, and will open on September 20, at the noted start time of class.
