Flow Together, Grow Together

Thursdays, February 11-25: 5-6 p.m.

Come learn the fundamentals to every yoga practice in this three-week yoga workshop. Whether you are new to yoga or a yogi wanting to deepen your practice, this is the workshop for you. We will learn about the history of yoga, explore meditation and breath and finish with form and asana (physical practice). By week three, participants will develop confidence to explore their practice on your own or in a group class setting. Join this workshop as we explore, learn and share what yoga means to us. Buckeye BarBELLES

This 7-week program focuses on the fundamentals of strength training for women to build strength inside and outside the gym! The program will also consist of weekly lectures discussing training topics such as goal-setting, personal accountability and proper exercise program design based on your goals. All lectures will be virtual over Zoom. Participants will also learn the basics of the squat, bench, and deadlift as well as additional exercises with a certified personal trainer. Exercise instruction will be in-person at the RPAC, and scheduled with your availability.

This program is open to the first 25 women who register. Registration for this course is $25 per person, and will open on Monday February 15, at noon. You can only sign up online through our online portal. Register here

Find What Moves You

Thursday, February 25: 5-6 p.m.

Fitness isn't changing what your body looks like, rather doing what makes your body feel good. Learn how the connection between awareness of your body and knowledge of your movements can empower how you move and love your body. Join Colin, a certified personal trainer, and Faith, a certified group fitness instructor, for conversation and light activity to find what moves you! Slam Dunk Fitness Challenge

March 1 – 31

As we approach mid-semester madness and things are getting challenging, what is your motivation to stay active and moving? If you’re driven by working out with friends or roommates, then this team challenge is for you. Create a team of 3-5 friends and every Group Fitness LIVE class you attend together, your team receives a point. Your team competes through the First Four, Elite Eight, Round of 16 and the National Championship of class participation. Each round earns all of you a fun Rec Sports prize, so will you Slam Dunk the Month? All levels welcome. Your team must be registered and agree to our participation guidelines before beginning the challenge. Sign your team up here!   


Core Values: Principles of Core Engagement 

Tuesdays, March 9-23: 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Driven by the principles of Pilates, this workshop will expand how we think about core engagement and movement. We will learn how our core is involved in everyday movements to improve posture and the function of breath. Through incorporating focus and breath, we will increase our mind-muscle connection and maximize the effectiveness of physical activity. All levels are welcome as we explore our core! Register for this FREE workshop series here.


Dance Around the World

Wednesday, March 24: 7:30-9 p.m.

Dance is an immersive way to learn and gain insight on different cultures. Come celebrate the movement we share around the world. Join our Rec Sports dance fitness instructors for this 1.5-hour event filled with energy and fun. Who knows…there may even be some surprise guests?!

Hip Hop Breakdown

Wednesdays, March 31 – April 14: 6:15-7:15 p.m.

Over the course of this 3-week workshop, participants will learn how to dance a 1-minute Hip Hop routine. We will build a foundation of learning choreography before we dance to the music. Each week's choreography will lead to the next week and give our group a minute of fun and energetic moves. The purpose of this workshop is to give participants of all experiences an opportunity to try something new!
