The Group Fitness Game

Monday, March 23 - Sunday, April 12  |  Register Online

This spring, level up your workouts with a board game-style adventure! The Group Fitness Game transforms every class into a move closer to prizes and progress across Group Fitness Land. Advance through campus landmarks like the Shoe and the Oval, and work your way to the Ohio Union by attending classes, unlocking milestones and earning rewards throughout the semester.

How to Participate

Register for the challenge by Wednesday, March 25 using the registration link above.

Participants earn 10 points per class attended and advance across the board toward three campus landmarks, each tied to a prize tier:

  • 60 points (6 classes): The Shoe - Prize Package Tier 1

  • 90 points (9 classes): The Oval - Prize Package Tier 2

  • 120 points (12 classes): The Ohio Union - Prize Package Tier 3

Progress will be tracked through Rec Sports attendance data. Be sure to check in before each class to receive points.

Participants can track their progress in the Member Portal. Information about prizes and prize pickup will be shared after registration closes.

Yoga for Climbers: Building Movement Resilience

Calling all climbers! This 90-minute workshop explores how foundational mat-based movements translate to climbing performance. Participants will learn the importance of warming up and how stretching, balance and weight distribution techniques support muscular resilience while climbing.

Program Details

This workshop begins with guided discussion and movement focused on mobility, stability and movement efficiency. Emphasis is placed on understanding how movement patterns begin on the ground before being applied vertically. The session then transitions these concepts toward on-the-wall application, with participants invited to continue practicing during normal OAC operating hours.

Yoga for Climbers

Tuesdays, March 31 - April 14 | Register Online

Calling all climbers! Build balance, strength and mobility in this climber-focused group fitness class. This balanced session addresses the unique demands of climbing by combining targeted flexibility work with strength-building sequences. Whether you're a dedicated climber or enjoy occasional ascents, this practice will help you move with greater efficiency, stability and confidence in all your athletic pursuits.

Program Details

This session focuses on opening tight areas while developing complementary strength to support climbing performance. Emphasis is placed on improving overall body mechanics, enhancing recovery and preventing common climbing-related imbalances.

This class meets on Tuesdays:

  • March 31, April 7 and April 14, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
