Camper Health Information Form
The Camper Health Information Form needs to be completed for all campers.

Accommodation Request Form
If your camper needs an accommodation at camp due to an illness, disability, diagnosis, etc., please complete this form. Once we receive your form, we will be in touch with you to discuss the accommodation. At Camp Recky we strive to make sure all campers have the best experience possible, and we are here to help in any way we can.

Medication Form
If your child will need to take medications at camp or has an EPI pen, inhaler or diabetes pump, please fill out the PDF medication administration form and send to camprecky@osu.edu. We are not allowed to administer any medication or provide emergency medications at camp unless this form is completed. If your child is not taking any medications or does not have any emergency medications, you do not need to complete this form.

Camp Recky Store

We are pleased to share that we are offering a Camp Recky Store this year! You have the chance to purchase Camp Recky gear, such as T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts and more. The store opens on Monday, May 5, and will close on Monday, May 12.

Drop-Off and Pick Up

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

  • Curbside drop-off runs 8 - 9 a.m.
    • Camp Recky: Follow the camp signs to the Annie and John Glenn turnaround (East side of the Ohio Stadium).
    • Esports Camp: South parking lot of Lincoln Tower off of John Herrick Drive and Cannon Drive. Please approach from the South via Herrick Drive to avoid traffic congestion.
  • Please stay in your car. Camp staff will come to your car to sign your child in and escort them to camp.
  • Walk-ups are allowed and encouraged to help with the traffic flow.
  • Campers will only be released to people listed as authorized for pick up.
    • If you did not list someone on your paperwork, you must contact the Camp Recky office before 3 p.m. to add someone as authorized pick up. Staff will call and need to talk to a parent/guardian to release a child to anyone no on the list, delaying pick up.

Late Drop-Off

  • Camp Recky: If you drop off after 9 a.m., please park in the Annie and John Glenn turnaround and bring hour camper to the Camp Recky office in the RPAC. We are located up the ramp behind Juice2 in the lobby of the RPAC. There will not be any staff at the turnaround after 9 a.m.
  • Esports Camp: If you drop off after 9 a.m., please park in the Lincoln Tower Parking lot and bring the camper to the Esports Arena, located on the second floor of Lincoln Tower in room 210 near the entrance facing the Band Observation tower and Lincoln Tower Park turf fields.

Late Pick-Up
Any campers who are at camp after 5 p.m. will be brought to the Camp Recky office (Camp Recky) or the Esports Arena (Esports Camp) and a late fee will be charged. Parents will need to enter the building to sign out their camper. If there is an emergency (i.e., broken-down car) and you know you will be a few minutes late, please call the office at 614-688-8787. Please be sure to review our late pick-up policy.

Late Pick-Up Policy
Parents who pick up between 5 - 5:15 p.m. will be charged a fee of $15. Any parents who pick up later than 5:15 p.m. will be charged an additional $1 for every minute after. Charges will be added to the family's account and will need to be paid before the camper(s) will be allowed to return to camp. Unpaid balances will result in the camper(s) being withdrawn from camp with no refund.

Parking

Visit the CampusParc website for parking information. If you must park your car near any of our camps, there are parking lots for “A,” “B” and “C” pass holders. For those without an Ohio State parking permit, there are parking meters, Pay-n-display machines and/or pay garages near all camp locations. Staff members can direct you to these areas.

Camp Recky and Recreational Sports are not able to negotiate parking pricing, nor does the department receive any revenue from parking fees. Prices are determined and retained by CampusParc, a third-party provider. Parking arrangements are subject to change based on university activities.

Camp Recky Sport Majors
Each week of camp your camper will get the opportunity to participate in 2 sports per week. These sport activities will take place between 9:30 - 11 a.m. each morning. The goal of our sport majors are to introduce your child to a variety of sports. Whether this is your child's first time with a sport or has been playing the sport for a while, your camper will have the opportunity to learn basic skills through various drills and games. Our key focus is learning the basics while emphasizing Sportsmanship, Teamwork and Participation. While we ask all campers to try every activity first, alternative activities will be provided for those campers who are not interested in a certain sport major.

Camp Recky Afternoon Minors
Campers will have the opportunity to partake in various sport and recreational activites during the afternoons at camp. Below is a list of activities that will take place throughout each week of camp: Gaga!, field games, nine square, gym games, scavenger hunts, on-campus field trips, swimming, kitchen time and themed arts and crafts.

Kitchen Time
Camp Recky will offer kitchen time for our campers, with a different theme geared toward a specific age group. This program activity is not what we formerly called Kids in the Kitchen, but a modified version of it for the summer of 2025. Kitchen time will be a part of our afternoon rotation for ALL campers to have the opportunity to participate at no additional cost. Each age group will have certain weeks they will be able to participate in basic kitchen activities. Campers who are not interested in Kitchen Time will have alternative sport and recreation activities they will be able to participate in.

  • Buckeye Breakfast - It is the most important meal of the day. Learn how to cook food that will start your day off right!
  • Dreamy Desserts - Make your favorite baked desserts while learning about cooking safety.
  • Cooking ABC's - Learn kitchen basics by cooking age appropriate, simple food items.
