Rec Sports' Fitness Services offers a variety of ways for you to be well for life!
Physical activity has been proven to impact your mental health by improving sleep, reducing stress and anxiety and creating a sense of belonging. Participating in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity over longer durations (weeks or months) reduces symptoms of anxiety in adults. (Physical Activities Guidelines for Americans, 2nd edition published by The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion; 2018)
In compliance with federal, state, local and university guidelines regarding COVID-19, some in-person programming and services will not be available this semester. This includes our staff training and hiring programs, BuckeyeFIT and BuckeyePT Prep. Individual and group programs will resume as guidance allows.
Our programs include:
Group fitness: Workout from the comfort of your home with our virtual group fitness offerings! Class formats range from HIIT, to barre, yoga, Zumba® and more.
Personal training: Meet virtually with one of our certified personal trainers to create a tailored exercise program to meet your needs!
Fitness in Motion: Stay connected with your organization, colleagues or friends with custom fitness programming led by our certified instructors over Zoom.
Fitness resources: Keep yourself motivated to move with a variety of weekly workout plans, instructional videos, fitness articles and more! We are always adding more resources, so be sure to check back often.
Student Wellness Center: The Mary A. Daniels Student Wellness Suite at the RPAC provides services at Ohio State that enhance the wellness of students and their communities.
