Learn to Swim Private Lesson Information

Private and Semi-Private Lessons:

Private and semi-private swimming lessons are designed to meet the recreational or competitive needs for children or adults. Registrants can choose their instructor and time of day within the provided offerings. Private lessons offer one-on-one instruction, while semi-private lessons include two students per instructor. Each private/semi-private lesson lasts 30 minutes. Students sharing a semi-private lesson must be the same skill level.

Private Lesson Dates, and Fees

The fall session of learn to swim classes will be delayed until October. See updated dates and registration information below.

Fall 2024 Session Dates:
October 20 - November 24, 2024

Class Times:
Private lessons will be offered during the following times based on insturctor availability
Monday-Friday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. - Noon and 4-6 p.m.

Cost:
Rec Sports Members $150 per participant, includes six classes
Rec Sports Non-Members $180 per partcipant, includes six classes

Fall Program Registration Dates:

Returning Families Date will be sent via email to returning participants. Register at recregister.osu.edu
New Families Tuesday, September 24 at 9 a.m. Register at recregister.osu.edu

A returning family is defined as a family that had a participant in the previous session (Second Session Spring Semester).

Semi-Private lesson Dates and Fees:

If you would like to do a semi-private lesson, please register one person for the lesson on our registration poral and email us at agegroup@osu.edu to change the lesson to a semi-private lesson. You will be required to pay the difference.
