Intramurals and Sport Clubs
Student employees within the Competitive Sports Program have the opportunity to officiate, supervise intramural sport leagues and sport club events, support administrative processes in the office. Our entry-level positions are Event Assistants and Office Assistants. Read more information about these roles below.
- Primary Location: Varies by sport including Recreation & Physical Activity Center (RPAC), Adventure Recreation Center (ARC), Fred Beekman Park, Coffey Road Park and the Lincoln Tower Turf Fields
- Typical Available Hours: Flexible by shift on weekday evenings and weekends
- Required Certifications: All rules and sport officiating knowledge will be taught upon onboarding; CPR & First-Aid certifications provided (at no cost) upon hire
Office Assistant – Office Assistants support the Competitive Sports Team in completing administrative tasks, enhancing participant communication, and maintain staff relations. This role is pivotal in the management of sport club rosters, travel procedures, and intramural sport participant inquiry fielding. Apply here.
Event Assistant – Event Assistants are trained to officiate and oversee programmatic operations. No experience is necessary. Uniforms and whistle are provided upon hire. Successful candidates for this position will learn, implement and enforce the rules of the selected sport, while also utilizing appropriate mechanics and positioning. Operationally, Event Assistants will also serve as first-responders during risk and conflict situations during Intramural Sport Leagues as well as Sport Club Events. Apply here.
