Intramurals and Sport Clubs

Student employees within the Competitive Sports program have the opportunity to officiate and support intramural sport leagues and sport club events. Our entry-level positions include Event Assistants and Event Assistant Officials. Learn more about these roles below.

  • Primary Location: Varies by sport, including Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC), Adventure Recreation Center (ARC), Fred Beekman Park, Coffey Road Park and Lincoln Tower Turf Fields
  • Typical Available Hours: Flexible shifts on weekday evenings and weekends
  • Required Certifications: Rules and sport officiating knowledge will be taught upon onboarding; CPR/AED/First Aid certification provided upon hire (at no cost)

Event Assistant - Event Assistants are trained to support program operations and assist with intramural sport leagues and sport club events. No prior experience is required. Students will help manage gameplay, communicate with participants and ensure a safe, organized environment. Event Assistants may also serve as first responders during risk or conflict situations. Student Position Application | Work Study Application

Event Assistant - Official - Event Assistant - Officials are trained to officiate intramural sport contests while also supporting program operations. Students will learn sport rules, mechanics and positioning, while enforcing gameplay and ensuring a fair and safe environment for participants. Student Position Application | Work Study Application

All positions are hired through Workday. After applying, selected candidates will be assigned to roles based on operational needs and availability.
