Camp Recky
Camp Recky is an American Camp Association accredited summer camp open to the Ohio State community and the general Columbus community. Through sport and recreation, campers aged 6-12 will gain confidence in themselves while learning skills such as taking initiative, problem solving and critical thinking.
- Primary Location: Predominantly at RPAC, but some positions will visit other areas facilities or areas of campus.
- Typical Available Hours: Weekdays generally during business hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Camp Recky Student Director - Student Directors assist in managing daily camp logistics, ensuring camper safety, supporting staff and providing excellent customer service. This role oversees camper records, behavior management, medication distribution and staff training while coordinating with leadership to maintain a fun and enriching camp experience. Camp Recky Program Leader - Program Leaders manage daily operations, supervise opening and closing procedures, prepare and organize supplies and ensure the successful execution of activities by camp counselors. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, planning field trips, managing camper behavior, communicating with parents and providing on-the-ground support to staff. Camp Recky Counselor – Counselors develop, implement and oversee various program activities, including sports and games, aquatics and creative arts. Counselors closely supervise and make connections with campers to ensure a cohesive camping environment that serves everyone. Position runs from May through first week of August.
