Adjusted Hours and Operations

Rec Sports facilities will have adjusted hours and operations at the end of the semester and throughout the summer due to the academic calendar, university holidays and large campus events. Be sure to check our facility hours online before planning your visit. Follow us on social or download our app and enable notifications for adjusted hours reminders. 


  • April 18  |  Spring Football Game + RPAC Event

    • The ARC, OAC, JON and NRC closed due to Spring Football Game.

    • Expect an increase in visitors and limited open recreation options in the RPAC due to Science Olympiad event.

  • April 25  |  Concert at Ohio Stadium

    • RPAC, RPAC Aquatic Center and JOS open with adjusted hours due to concert at Ohio Stadium.

  • April 28 – May 9  |  Spring End-of-Term Hours

    • April 28  |  JON closes for the summer

    • May 2  |  Expect an increase in visitors and limited options in the RPAC due to Classic for Columbus basketball tournament.

  • May 10 – July 26  |  Summer Hours

    • May 10  |  NRC closes for the summer

    • May 11  |  OAC closes for the summer

  • May 10 – 31  |  Annual Rolling Closures for Deep Cleaning and Maintenance

    • May 10 – 17  |  RPAC And Aquatic Center closed

    • May 18 – 25  |  ARC and OAC closed

    • May 22 – 31  |  JOS closed

  • May 20  |  Concert at Ohio Stadium

    • The RPAC will be open 5:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., with the Aquatic Center closing at 5 p.m., due to concert at Ohio Stadium.

  • May 22 – 25  |  Memorial Day Weekend

    • May 22  |  Adjusted hours

    • May 23 – 25  |  All facilities closed

  • May 29 – 31  |  Ohio Special Olympics Summer Games

    • Expect an increase in visitors and limited options across our facilities and on campus due to Ohio Special Olympics Summer Games.

  • June 13  |  Concert at Ohio Stadium

    • The RPAC will be open 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., with the Aquatic Center closing at 2 p.m., due to an event at Ohio Stadium.

  • June 19 |  Juneteenth

    • All facilities closed

  • July 2 – 5  |  July Fourth Weekend

    • July 2  |  Adjusted hours

    • July 3 – 5  |  All facilities closed

  • July 27 – August 23  |  Summer End-of-Term Hours

    • August 17  |  JON and NRC reopen
