OAC Climbing Wall Renovation Complete

Dear Climbers and Adventurers,

We’re excited to share that the Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) climbing wall renovation is complete. The OAC will reopen Tuesday, August 25, at 4 p.m.

Over summer 2026, the OAC’s top-rope climbing walls were renovated with updated hardware, textured hardwood and a new paint scheme. The original walls were more than 20 years old, while the existing structural steel remains in place.

These improvements will create more opportunities for precisely set routes and an enhanced climbing experience for the Ohio State climbing community.

We appreciate the support and patience of our climbing community throughout the renovation and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the OAC this autumn.

Adventure Gear Rentals will resume Labor Day weekend.
